The Syli dress and blouse are relaxed everyday garments. Both variations feature a gathered bodice, a shallow tuck across the chest and a hemline that dips slightly longer in back. The neckline is finished with binding with a back vent secured by ties.The dress has two tucks around the hemline of both the skirt and sleeves, as well as in-seam side pockets. The dress sleeves have gathered ends finished with binding and ties. The blouse has straight 1⁄2-length sleeves with turned hems.
 
Fabric suggestions:
Choose a light to medium-weight, non-stretch fabric. Depending on the desired result, you can select either a low-drape fabric or a fabric with a little drape. Cotton, linen, Tencel and rayon shirtings or dress-weight fabrics are recommended. You can cut the binding from your fabric or choose a premade binding. If your fabric is light or drapey, interface the pocket openings of the dress using fusible interfacing.
