The TARKARLI rug is named for the gorgeous beach in the Maharashta region of India. We all love to walk on sand but walking on this rug might be just as nice!  Natural cotton has been woven in a textured design and finished with hand tied fringing with tassels. Lovely and soft under foot. These lovely products are hand woven on traditional flat looms by skilled artisan weavers. 
 
The result is a simple flat weave rug around half a centimetre in thickness.  This makes them ideal for placement under furniture as well as in an open room.   The rugs are reversible with the same design on each side and they can be rolled up or folded when not in use.  They can be shaken, or spot cleaned and our customers report that the rug can be gently washed in cool water.
